GRAND ARCHITECT
You who ride the midnight sky on golden wings above,
Shine down on me your silver beams and grace me with your love;
Take my hand, my child of light, we'll sail the cosmic seas,
And travel through the galaxies of possibilities...
Utopian dreamer - I want to believe;
Yesterday’s sorrows, Tomorrow’s dream.
You who climb the mountains high in purpled majesty,
I'll follow you over the snowcapped peaks, for I desire to see;
Through your eyes, my child of light, I'll chase the setting sun,
And travel through the centuries; it's only just begun...
Stargazing seer -- Make me a believer;
Futurist leaning, Grand architect of dreams.
And after traveling so far,
I stepped into the sun and opened up my eyes.
Mourning worn by the poor, through centuries of war -
I wonder, will it ever end?
Ever end?
Ever end?
Ever end?

Queen of Winter

QUEEN OF WINTER
She turned away one April day,
And left the world behind;
An enigmatic mystery
Twisted inward and reborn.
Yet on the longest night, she returns to me again,
As empty branches reach toward
And touch the purple sky.
And in the midnight hour, she calls to me by name;
Hidden in her words, the message and the key.
All light is lost; she’s stained my stained-glass window white.
Why dream in color, in a world so crystalline?
Wrapped in her cold embrace...
Queen of winter -
Queen of night -
What lies behind your
Frozen eyes?
Snow like sand, my drifting fate;
I fall under her spell.
Time speeds up and then detains,
As the colors burn and fade.
And on that longest night, I leave the world behind,
As empty branches bend to earth,
And the purple sky turns black.
And in the midnight hour, she calls to me by name;
Hidden in her words, the message and the key.
All light is lost; she’s stained my stained-glass window white.
Why dream in color, in a world so crystalline?
Wrapped in her dark embrace...
Queen of winter -
Queen of night -
What lies behind your
Frozen eyes?
And so we wander out into the snow,
As the north wind ever blows.
All is nothing, into nothing we become
Everything and all...
Before the winter begins.
Before the winter begins.
Before the winter begins.
Before her winter begins.

Firebird

FIREBIRD
Feathers fell from golden wings;
Crimson streams in twilight sheen.
He's searching for something;
Ever lamenting the lost one.
Seven rays of golden light
Radiate from his crown in the night.
He's hunting for something;
Never-returning someone.
Eager eyes seeking for the light of the sun,
Ever scanning the horizon...
From the ashes below,
The firebird reborn
With furious flames of the end.
Ashen rebirth on the shores of time;
Ascendancy beyond all reason and rhyme.
He’s hunting for something;
Now eclipsing the lost one.
Seven rays are rekindled this night;
Illuminated crown ever burning bright.
No longer searching for something;
He has relinquished the only one.
Exultant eyes burning with the light of the sun,
Ever scanning the horizon...
Further into the red,
The firebird ascends -
Eternal flames of the end.
Deeper into the red,
The firebird ascends -
Eternal flames of the end.
From infernos below -
A bolt of blazing gold;
Borne by the flames of the end,
Firebird ascend!
--coda--
Forever hunting the sun…
From the forges below,
Beyond the flames of the end,
Deep into the red,
The firebird eternally ascends.

Omens

OMENS
You who wander beyond the seven gates,
And ride the wind that leads to Elsewhere,
There burns a fire, an ever-burning flame,
That will lead you to the Other.
Hear the thunder
Crack the sky;
Electric lightning right in time!
Burning rainbows
Arc the sky
And write the oaths that never die.
Storm clouds gather, borne upon the wind;
Wheels of fire ever spin.
The earth, it trembles; the mountains move and quake;
The trees bend to kiss the meadow.
Feel the power
Of the night;
Fire coursing through your veins!
In the torchlight,
The way revealed:
An opening into forever.
Midnight dreamer lost in the realm of sleep,
Awaken now - the longest night retreats.
One by one, the stars they disappear
Into magenta sky, as the dawn draws near.
Golden rays of morning fill the sky,
Mysteries unfold and reveal...
Let us wander beyond the seven gates,
We’ll ride the wind that leads us Elsewhere;
Ablaze in torchlight, the ever-burning flame,
That will lead us, that will lead us to the Other.
That will lead us to the Other.
That will lead us to the Other.

Adamantine

ADAMANTINE
Heavy Metal,
White light shines, my rarest skin.
Luminescence, elemental,
As foretold my stormy end.
O, Metal!
Forged beneath a sky of signs.
Adamantine, vivid sheen,
Seal my blade of rare design.
Once a liquid, now composed,
Once on fire, now I glow.
Heavy Metal,
Ohhhh...
Heavy Metal,
Bright blue fire, absolute.
Understand: Unloved, abandoned,
Now I wield the killing truth!
O, Metal!
To bestow my burning mark -
Everlasting, lustered night -
Starlight torch fire in the dark.
Once a liquid, now composed,
Once on fire, now I glow.
Heavy Metal,
Ohhhh...
Once in embers, now in air,
Once in ashes, now I bear:
Heavy Metal,
Ohhhh...
Once a liquid, now composed,
Once on fire, now I glow.
Once in embers, now in air,
Once in ashes, now I bear:
Heavy metal in my hands;
Adamantine is my stand.
Heavy metal in my veins;
Everlasting is my name!

PSALM 6
From the leaves, down through the roots,
Into the soil, deep underground;
Over and over, retracing our lines,
Into the heart of the earth, aflame -
Ancient
Earth
Metal
Crystallized, our vision refined.
Boundaries dissolve, circuits align.
Cycles repeating, returning to find,
Answers and meaning beyond space and time.
Arcane
Earth
Metal
Now all the stars are out, shining down for all of us to see
The beauty around us, before the morning, before the sunrise.
I've heard it said before, night is but another door;
We open it wide, and let in the morning, let in the sunrise.
Distant voices calling,
Beckoning us beyond,
So we begin again.
We begin again.
We begin again.

Golden Ring

GOLDEN RING
Purple sunset,
The final light,
Closed my eyes and remembered the night
She said to me:
“How far we have come,
But the road it leads on, and we've only begun.”
Over and over, she follows the flame,
Which keeps her from seeing the light.
Always and ever, she calls out my name,
As the night is falling, chasing the sun away.
Nobody told her -
She’d need a friend
To help her see it through to the end.
Nobody told her -
The burden she’d bear;
The weight of the golden ring she wears -
The golden ring.
Glistening black,
Black of the wild;
To see the world through the eyes of a child.
To straighten the way,
Make narrow and right;
We wait in the dark for our dreams to take flight.
Always and ever, we follow the flame,
Which keeps us from seeing the light.
Always and ever, I call out her name,
As the night advances, chasing the sun away.
Nobody told me -
I need a friend
To help me see it through to the end.
Nobody told me -
The burden I bear;
The weight of the golden ring I wear -
The golden ring.
Midnight hour,
The final flight;
She closes her eyes, and she summons her power.
The moon ‘round her waist, as she flies from the depths,
With stars ’round her wrists, and the wind in her fists.
Always and forever,
Let it fall into the flame.
Into the flame....

MOONDAWN MIRAGE III
Steeped in the shade in the valley below,
A figure appeared by the river alone.
Cloaked in the twilight, my beautiful friend;
One night in late May, it came to an end.

LAST MARCH
For years, we have wandered
Deep in this grove
Of poplar and cedar,
Maple and oak;
And now the wind’s whispering,
So sinister cold:
Delusion, duplicity.
Dark is the season preceding the spring;
What future awaits us remains to be seen.
From the cold grasp of winter,
We fight to be free!
Our years spent defended
Beneath silent starless skies.
No song rings in sympathy,
Nor echoes cross time;
Yet now the wind whispers
Of sweetness, New Light...
Wake up from Oblivion!
Dark is the season preceding the spring;
What future’s created remains to be seen.
From the cold grasp of winter,
Rise up
And be free!

STARDUST AND TORCHLIGHT
Midnight hour falls upon the world asleep below,
As silver beams of starlight stream on lovers lost in dream.
And in the space between our worlds, where day and night collide,
From cold and dim to roar and din, a spark of light ignites
The fire burning...
All is forgiven
In the golden glow.
Stardust and torchlight -
Our lives unfold.
Full moon is rising, gunmetal gray the sky;
Blackest rider, hoofs are razing, rend asunder night.
Between the space beyond our worlds, the day erupts from dark.
Midnight dancer, you’re the answer, summon forth the dawn
And bring the light.
All is forgiven
In the golden glow.
Stardust and torchlight -
Our stories told.
All is forgiven
In the golden glow.
Stardust and torchlight -
Life begins anew.
